Veedub, Hardly A Dud — I love this car. The drive is amazingly smooth and the ride is very comfortable. It drives like a dream. The engine sound while inside the car is fairly quiet due to the good build and you feel amazingly safe and cosey whilst inside.
However, due to this amazingly good build quality, it lacks performance. The car is only a 1.4 engine and so due to the good build it weighs the car down alot and therefore makes it a fairly slow car. This reduces the fun factor in the car, but for what it lacks in that department it almost certainly makes up for in the other departments. The brakes are very good as it is fitted with ABS braking and the handling is amazingly smooth.
Its such an amazing car to drive. The appearance of the car is very cute and tidy.
The engine layout is well structured and is hardly messy, compared to other cars such as the older hondas of its time. The inside of the car is tidy and everything is also very well thought up and structured. There are nice little compartments and little cup holders here and there jsut to help you feel like this car is your home away from home. It does 41 MPG so is quite reasonable on the fuel however, there are better cars than this of their time. But surely, they arent built as well as this car? The usual VW engines are very reliable and will go on forever just like the honda engines.
Overall, its an amazing first car and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I bought mine at the bargain price of £1,700 at 92000 miles and I havnt looked back since. Primary Use: Family transportation.

She drinks 8-7 liters of petrol to a100km in the highway 11 in urban area, quite impressive this car is boring is some way, but if you will put pedal to the metal it will shake your ass smoothly Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.). They say nothing perfect.well they obviously havnt had a volkswagen. Its a really good lookibng car and i never had any problems with it i had to bad crashes in it n both times the outside body work took the impact the interior is very nice n the blue l.e.d's on the clock look great.
My car was only a 1l n was great on the fuel economy (obviously). The handling of the car was great it never onece understeered or lost the baack end!! OVERALL I LOVED THIS CAR n was very upset wen it got wrote off r.i.p paula. V.w Polo Gti — The performance is not amazing,but still quite nippy, being a 1.6 16v engine it manages to be adequate for the size of the car.The build quality has been pretty poor eg new clutch,gearbox,window regulators etc.The styling isn't to bad for a standard car,volkswagen have tried to make it sort of sporty eg.semi bucket seats,leather steering wheel,red trim on the door card,Gti decals etc. The cost of running is ok,providing u don't have a heavy right foot,avrg mpg is 39.The car it self is great for the b roads where i live,but not ideal for very long journeys and is a reasonable thrill for a person looking for a first time hot hatch.I wouldn't recomend to any of my friends,as we are all looking for something that little quicker,but would recomend to someone who wants a little more power,than their average car.
