This is a web based learning program that is a self paced, interactive simulation activity that allows the end user to achieve a feel for the Meditech documentation and electronic record applications. Training provides instruction on basic navigation and functionality. This program is divided into two applications, EMR and PCS. EMR-Electronic/Enterprise Medical Record is a compilation of data from various applications that makes up the patient’s medical record.
This training module instructs the user how to navigate and view data in the electronic medical record. This training is made up of two chapters. A quiz is to be completed upon the conclusion of the second chapter. Points to Remember:. T here is audio associated with this program, so ensure volume is turned up. To maximize the viewing area of your screen, use the F11 key to hide the web tool bar. If you do not hide the tool bar, you will need to use the scroll bars to see the corners of the screens.
When an area is highlighted in RED, it requires an action by you. You must wait for the audio to complete before you can click. If an area is highlighted in GREEN, it is to alert you to the feature. If your keystroke (eg, F12) does not advance the screen, you are able to move forward by clicking on the play button located at the bottom of the screen.
There is a Table of Contents which allows you to go back and review within the module. As this is a simulation, the dates and times of documentation will not reflect real time. When answering quiz questions, select your answer and then click submit. The outcome of your answer will display.
